“Forgot the Controls!”: Digital Time Travel for Tampa Bay Lightning Stars Will Ignite Nostalgia in Any 90s Fan

It going to be an interesting month for the Tampa Bay Lighting team. They have a lot coming up in the NHL games this February. However, amidst the pressure to perform, a few players from the team spared some time to relax. Recently, the official YouTube page of the team uploaded a video o four Tampa Bay players trying their hands on the 90’s video game Mario Kart that will surely make anyone time travel back to those days.

Before you check out how the experience of these players, know that the format of Mario Kart never changed in the 90s. Hence, the players did face difficulty in figuring out the controls as they played the game simultaneously.

The official page of Tampa Bay Lighting uploaded the video of four hockey players playing the 90s favorite video game, Mario Kart. At the beginning of the video, players decide to adjust the speed of the race to the highest limit which is 100cc.

However, before the game began, they all agreed that the controls of the remote controller were clueless. They had a hard time understanding it.

One of the players stated;

“this is weird hold”

While the other player stated;

“on yeah I don’t really know the I forget the controls”

Then they selected their respective characters with which they would race. The Tampa Bay players could not get Mario as a character because it was locked. The real fun began when the four players started to race. Throughout the time they raced against each other, they were simply laughing. While they had fun racing, they were still figuring out the controls. The players kept asking each other how the remote controller worked. However, ultimately it was Anthony Cirelli who won the race.

Nevertheless, the fun banter among the four players while playing was a treat for fans to watch.

Fans react to hockey players’ fun Mario Kart session

The game was not just fun for the hockey players but also for the fans. Their excitement and admiration for the Tampa Bay Lightning players were clearly visible in the comment section;

A fan commented that watching the players play Mario Kart was hilarious;

“That was hilarious. We definitely need more of this kind of stuff. Tony raging in Mario Kart is gold”

Another fan stated that they love seeing the four players together;
