For the unversed, Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky married American actress Janet Jones in 1988 after seeing each other on and off for some time. Before acquiring the fame of becoming Mrs. Gretzky, Janet was a renowned actress and dancer. In 2022, she rekindled her passion for acting and made her thrilling comeback, starring alongside her son and Bruce Willis. 

At the beginning of her career, Janet Jones first appeared as a dance contestant on the show Dance Fever in 1979, and then later as a member of the dance duo Motion. After that, Janet starred in several movies that earned her great fame as an actress.

In 2022, Janet made big headlines with her thrilling comeback in the action film American Siege. She starred opposite her actor son Trevor Gretzky and Hollywood legend Bruce Willis. The film was also special because it had the fan-favorite pairing of Trevor and Bruce. Moreover, Janet Jones played a supporting role in the action film as a sniper. 

Janet was elated to share the news of her Hollywood comeback through an Instagram post that she posted on February 2022. She posted a picture of the film poster alongside a caption that read: 

It was such a nice feeling to work again, what really made it special i had the opportunity to work with my son Trevor Gretzky . Thank you Cory Large . What an amazing group of talent. American Siege”.

Janet Jones’ career as a movie star

Jones had a pretty amazing film career. After appearing in a couple of dance shows, she eventually got the opportunity to star in films like Annie (1982), Staying Alive (1983), and Snow White Live (1980). Later, she also played a small role in the sorcery-inspired film, The Beastmaster (1982). 

Moreover, by the time she married Wayne Gretzky, she became popular due to films like The Flamingo Kid (1984), A Chorus Line (1985), American Anthem (1986), and Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach (1988).
