It was an unusual sight to watch Canucks captain Bo Horvat and Islanders left winger Anthony Beauvillier play against their respective former teams. NHL fans were taken aback when former Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat was traded over to the New York Islanders. This is news hot off the press that came shortly after the times when the Islanders decided to leave winger Anthony Beauvillier, last month. Moreover, the neck-to-neck match that resulted in a Canucks victory (6–5) encouraged many to roast the Canucks as they are still at the bottom of the Pacific Division.

On the other hand, many felt that the Islanders needed to compensate for their losses in future games. A fan roasted the Canucks for their winning leads and for trading former captain Bo Horvat in these words, “What a great episode of the Canucks soap opera tonight highlighted by the heroics of the forgotten man in the trade.”

However, fans also appreciated their gameplay and said, “That was a good game of hockey. Very good Canucks win brilliant play.” Others said, “Canucks have really stepped it up, coming from a Rangers fan”; Well done canucks.”

On the other hand, fans criticized the Islanders for their loss when they said, “Islanders need these wins if their going to make it to the playoffs’; “Lol, Islanders fans really though they could play the smart game, chanting Horvat’s name to really stick it to us after he scored. Well, guess who had the last laugh?”

Without disappointing the Islanders, Horvat scored his first goal in that match leading to a 4–0 win. Post-match, Horvat expressed that he was happy to see Islander fans welcoming him with loud chants in the stadium.
