Manama Gold, born in 2021, has come a long way from the Louisiana Bayou to the Dubai desert for horse racing. In a single night, the horse achieved three straight wins, rating 101 out of 101. These remarkable wins were achieved at the Meydan Racecourse in the UAE Oaks G3 on February 23rd, 2024. Manama Gold was declared the star of the Dubai season and was paced by Adrie De Vries, the Louisiana-bred daughter of Star Guitar.

Adrie De Vries, after witnessing the horse’s impressive performance, was left in awe. However, he believes that the horse has more potential. According to the Paulick Report, he said, “I’m very pleased; I have a lot to do with her in the mornings and she’s a very special filly. At the moment, I think she’s not at her best – she’s growing a lot – but she has a lot of class.” The horse’s victory was widely recognized and it became the talk of the horse racing community, especially since it qualified for the Oaks.

The latest post on X by the official BloodHorse account read, “Louisiana-bred Star Guitar filly #ManamaGold remains undefeated after three starts with a convincing victory in the UAE Oaks (G3) Feb. 23 @RacingDuba.” Qualifying for the KY (Kentucky) Oaks with 50 points on the leaderboard, the unbeatable filly propelled ahead of her game to take it to the next level.

Trained by the renowned Fawzi Nass, the filly jumped head-to-head to lead the 1900m horse racing game. it was a tough one because of Mizzyaan and Lightening Paradise, giving a neck-to-neck competition. However, the Manama Gold triumph came with flying colors. Adding to the list of horses proving their capability in the fixture, their names have been discussed below.

Other distinguished contenders in the Oaks

It was not just Manama Gold that called attention to, but the starry night also highlighted other candidates who would be showing up for the upcoming March 30 UAE Derby G2 horse racing. Being a significant milestone to the ultimate Kentucky Derby, the halt at Churchill Downs Road is very important to look forward to.
