From Hollywood to television shows, the name?Bruce Lee keeps popping up even though the man has been long gone. Recently, comedian and actor Kevin McGahern opened up about his participation in the celebrity dance show, Dancing With The Stars that premiered on January 8. Being a non-dancer, Kevin bizarrely compared himself to a child learning karate while admiring Bruce Lee.

As DWTS was then just a few hours away, Kevin McGahern is both excited and nervous. He shared that he was having a tough time learning to dance. However, his dance partner Laura Nolan has been patient with him.

Kevin McGahern?s Bruce Lee comparison

Appearing in a show like Dancing With The Stars is followed by great excitement and nervousness. Kevin McGahern, who is also appearing as a celebrity contestant on the show, had a hard time picking up steps for the premiere night. As he was then performing a ballroom routine on the premiere evening, he shared how his experience as a learner has been so far. While interviewing with the Independent, Mcgahren made a bizarre comparison of himself stating ?It?s the equivalent of a child learning karate looking at Bruce Lee.?

The comedian was shocked to see the talent and skill of the dancers. He pictured them to be like fishes easily moving through the water. Moreover, he spoke admirably of his dance partner Nolan who has been being a great teacher to him. He said, ?She got me to walk up and down swinging my gym bag for half an hour. I was getting pissed off like, ?Why am I dancing with a bag??

Later when he removed the bag, he was able to dance in a much better way. Kevin compared the experience to Karate Kid?s Mr. Miyagi moment. However, to put things into perspective, would learning/working with the martial arts perfectionist have been as intimidating as McGahern envisioned?

Bruce Lee?s hit martial art film, Enter The Dragon, was his biggest passion project. The actor was so passionate about making the film after getting its creative control that he overlooked important aspects of filmmaking. Bruce Lee?s vision of his film surpassed factors like the production budget and the studio’s needs. Lee?s wife, Lindane?s ?stated in an interview, ?There was reluctance and tug of war going on about exactly how the product would end up,?

However, later he made a few changes to the script and the story. Even though McGahern?s statement about Bruce Lee was delivered in a hearty note, learning from the legend himself would have been an experience that will forever left unexplored!
