However, after a recent turn of events, Mr. and Mrs. Owens faced a backlash from the social media cult, in the wake of some remarks.

Biles and Owens can be seen pulling at their mouths while striking for a hilarious pose that was captioned as “mood.” The post has left the internet in splits, as many have sided with Biles, while many still hold their grudge against Owens.

Notably, Biles was laughing during the entire interaction of the podcast, and was in fact, proud that she made the move. Fans who sided with her argued why people have a problem when it is Simone Biles who knows the inner dynamics of their bond. 

Against this, however, some still carry doubts about Owens in their mind. Another set of fans is supportive of the couple but believes that the NFL star should be mindful of what he says. Responding to the post, Jonathan Owens wrote, “You feeeeeeel me, my best friend.” Interestingly, Biles too once conceded that, it was she who first approached Owens by sliding in his DMs.

In an interview with Wall Street Journal, Biles once pulled off the curtains from her relationship with Owens and stated, “He would say I slid into his DMs. I saw him, and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s pretty cute’, so I said hi…and then I saw that he was in the Houston area, so we started chatting a little bit, and then we went to hang out a week or two later.” And since then, the couple has been supporting and cheering each other through thick and thin.
