As the world mourns the death of the iconic O.J. Simpson, not everyone seems to be feeling the heartache. Only hours after the football Hall of Famer died of cancer, celebrity TV personality, and former Olympic decathlete Caitlyn Jenner spoke their mind on how they felt about the recently deceased national sensation. And that did not sit well with everyone.

In a recent podcast episode former football tight end, and another Pro Football Hall of Fame member, Shannon Sharpe commented on the “very tacky, very distasteful” comments made by Jenner.”Unc ain’t condonin Caitlyn Jenner’s disgusting tweet“, a post on X looked to clear any ambiguities about what Sharpe stands on Caitlyn’s views on the life and legacy of Simpson. To put things in perspective, Jenner put out a social media post that attracted severe criticism from the cyber world because of its uncalled-for nature. “Good Riddance #OJSimpson,” wrote Jenner in her post.

“You don’t celebrate someone’s death“, Sharpe and his co-host Chad Johnson had to underscore. Johnson also had a few things to say about the fiasco himself. “Even if you disliked the person based on some personal issues y’all might have gone through,” said the wide receiver.

“You gotta be careful because you never know when your time is up“, sounded an ominous statement from Sharpe, as he went on to hint that Jenner may be in for judgment in their own afterlife. The entire debate probably stems from the fact that OJ Simpson remains a figure that divides the nation, and the world, like no other. And it came to the fore even after his death.

The nation is still in double minds over OJ

Once one of the most influential characters in the country, Simpson fell from grace in 1994 when the murders of his wife Nicole Brown, and Ronald Goldman rocked the nation. While O.J. was acquitted of the charges, he was later sentenced to jail over another civil lawsuit. Despite the controversies, Simpson’s death opened the doors of overwhelming emotions who have stayed firm believers in his involvement in the entire matter from decades ago.

Basketball legend and business tycoon Magin Johnson took to social media to claim, “Cookie and I are praying for O.J. Simpson’s children Arnelle, Aaren, Justin, Jason, and Sydney and his grandchildren following his passing.” Some came clearer about their thoughts while supporting his family.
