Insane Sequence of Fan Brawl Results in a Lost Finger During NHL Game

Fans are the true asset of any sport. The loud cheer and engagement of fans are what makes any sport special. Every player dreams of listening to fans chanting their name. However, in close encounters or high-intensity matches, this passion can eventually lead to situations getting uncontrollably aggravated. A similar incident happened during an NHL match where two audience groups got engaged in a chaotic fight.
On the night of 14th December 2022, the Mullett temple in Arizona was hosting a match between Arizona Coyotes and Boston Bruins. As the aggression resulted in a physical spat in the stadium, the consequences resulting from the unfortunate turn of events were an aggressive feat between the two parties that ended with a bloody incident.

According to the Arizona State University police, the verbal spat started around 9:30 pm. However, the intention behind the fight is still in muddy waters. As per the reports posted by the Athletic Business, the argument soon turned into an ugly brawl between the two groups where people could be seen landing blows on each other. The tensions escalated to a level where one fan bit off the fingertip of another fan.

Nashkmnik Allen Shontz was the accused’s name, and he was taken into custody right away for his violent behavior. The authorities arrested additional five members for disturbing public order and creating a nuisance in a public space. Police transferred the victim, Steven Rocha, to the local hospital for immediate medical attention.
Visuals of the ugly brawl are being shared across social media platforms and are getting massive attention. The video shows the exchange of rough blows between two different groups which included a lady receiving the smashes and falling over the seats. The man appears to punch the woman and knock her to the ground. The video of the violent indulgences quickly went viral on several social media platforms!

The video that was originally shot by a PeteBlackburn quickly went viral. People kept screaming and shouting during the chaos. The violent mob also laid their hands on the on-ground police personnel who tried to diffuse the brawl. In fact, a police officer fell over multiple rows in an attempt to take out a person from the chaos. The injuries to the policeman are still unknown.

At one point, multiple people were seen falling into the stands. Although the injuries weren’t serious, a statement or action from the NHL committee is still awaited.
