“This Is a Dog’s Page”: Russian Star Ivan Provorov’s Girlfriend Makes a Saddening Appeal Amidst the Defenseman’s Controversial Boycott

The NHL star defenseman, Ivan Provorov, is grabbing the limelight again. The discussion around him started to rise after his refusal to join the team in the pride night celebration. While people have scaled up the heated debates and criticism of Ivan, the defenseman is still silent on the issue. However, the companion of the ice hockey star has finally opened up about the issue. 

Recently, Provorov’s girlfriend Madison Fairhurst made an appeal to the people from her dog’s Instagram account.

Ivan’s girlfriend comes up with a clarification on her dog’s Instagram page

The NHL star has been receiving hate and anger after his controversial decision. Provorov’s social media account was bombarded with hateful comments and criticism. However, the people didn’t stop there and started targeting her girlfriend’s pet dog’s Instagram handle.

Since Provorov’s had nothing to do with the page, Fairhurst had to submit a story pleading with people to stop spreading hate on that page. She further explained that the aim of the page is to spread joy and smiles all around, and no one should harm the dignity of the page. “I created this page to share Drake with everyone because he brings SO much joy into my life and I knew he could do the same for so many others.”, she wrote.

Fairhurst also clarified that the page is solely run by her and Ivan had no involvement in that. “THIS IS A DOG’S PAGE”, she wrote to make it clearer.

Why NHL star is getting bashed?

The controversy which is now involving players from other sports as well was ignited when Provorov refused to participate in the Pride Night celebration. His team, Philadelphia Flyers, have always advocated the inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in various sports and team. Just like every year, a traditional game is scheduled to happen this Tuesday. 

However, the Russian player refused to be a part of the celebration due to his religious beliefs. The man now has a plethora of inbox messages and comments criticizing him and his actions. It would be interesting to see what facts Ivan will give in his defense.
