When active on socials, Amirov posted a fresh Instagram post 15 weeks prior, unaware that it would soon transform into a space for condolences. The image featured him alongside Grigori Panin, with the caption, “Кэп, очень рад встрече!” meaning “Cap, very happy to see you!”

Amirov’s journey began in Russia, where he played as a left winger for Salavat Yulaev Ufa. It is his hometown in the Kontinental Hockey League. However, his promising career tragically faces a premature end due to illness. Despite facing a life-altering diagnosis, he lived each day with optimism, mirroring the courage he displayed throughout his NHL carrier.
