American snowboarding hero, Shaun White, has already arrived in Beijing for his last Olympic bid. Girlfriend and famous TV actress Nina Dobrev had also expressed her excitement at cheering him at the mega games.

Shaun White revealed that Nina could not travel along with him and team USA; however, she did try a lot to sneak into the squad. White and Dobrev have been dating each other since 2020.

Shaun wanted Nina Dobrev to fly with him to Beijing

Shaun was just 6 when he first started his snowboarding career and now at 35, Shaun is heading to his fifth Olympics. White’s Olympic podium journey is more golden than any other snowboarder in the world. And at his last Olympics before retirement, White will aim for his last and fourth Olympic gold.

As he was traveling to the Beijing Olympic village, he had a conversation with ‘Today’. White revealed he was missing his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, who has been supporting him throughout. “I wish she could have been here. She was trying her hardest to sneak in somehow. But, you know, she’s been so supportive and so wonderful, really just in my corner every step of the way. Hi Nina! Thank you for everything.” White said.

There’s still a chance for Nina Dobrev to appear at the Beijing Olympics in 2022, as she had revealed that she applied for a visa.

When will Shaun White compete at the Beijing Olympics 2022

The legendary snowboarder will start his quest for the Olympic podium on February 8th. Once he qualifies in the top 12, he will then again appear at the halfpipe venue on 10th February. While Shaun is the godfather of snowboarding tricks, he will also face some intense competition from young snowboarders.
