The NBC Olympics and Paralympics on Wednesday announced that Peyton Manning will be joined by Singer Kelly Clarkson and renowned commentator Mike Tirico. Referring to the profile of the hosts, they described it as a “star-studded lineup”. NBC Universal’s coverage of the Paris opening ceremony expects Clarkson and NFL legend Manning to bring their own flavor. “I’m extremely honored to have a front row seat,” the 2-time Super Bowl winner remarked. Manning is a Pro Football Hall of Famer and has two Super Bowls in his kitty during his 18 seasons in the NFL. He currently co-hosts “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli” with his brother, former NFL quarterback Eli Manning.

Kelly Clarkson has some hosting experience of her own, running ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’. Manning revealed that both of them have been fans of the athletes and the opening ceremony for years. Thus, the opportunity proves to be in the right hands with enthusiastic hearts.

Mike Tirico has been hosting the event for the past three editions and looks to bring the required assistance for the session ahead. “Our goal and desire is for Peyton and Kelly to be Peyton and Kelly. Just be who they are,” he reveals. Tirico further adds how the two stars have garnered love over time and thus, having them onboard will prove right. The Paris opening ceremony is ready to host unprecedented sightings, and the right flow is what one awaits.

The reports suggest that the Paris opening ceremony, to be held on July 26 at 7:30 p.m. Paris time down the river Seine is planned for around 300,000 in attendance. Furthermore, about 10,500 athletes will take the 6-kilometer route on boats. What adds to the grandiosity ahead is the sunset backdrop the organizers are aiming for. “An unprecedented experience, using the natural light of the setting sun with all its nuances to illuminate the river promenade,” the organizers state.
