The Paris Olympics 2024 hinted at being quite different from the previous ones. The modernization gained the mainstay in the Games as several state-of-the-art modifications took place in the events. On the other hand, sustainability didn’t receive an omission. From planning the games village to the design of the Paris Olympics 2024 medals, the IOC and the hosting committee orchestrated the sustainable themes. However, in the medal designs, this is not the first time sustainability has gotten the upper hand.

Moreover, there are some hard and fast rules for keeping the orbic insignias. Before the Paris Olympics 2024, let’s embrace the facts that help in defining the Olympic medals.

The shining features of Olympic and Paralympic medals

The Paris Olympics hosting committee’s IG handle introduced a series of disbursing knowledge on the nooks and crannies of the Olympics. As a part of that series, on February 6, the IG handle, Paris 2024 shared the distinct features of the Olympic and Paralympics medals. “D-2 before we discover the Paris 2024 medals But do you know how the Olympic and Paralympic medals are created?” In continuation, the narration added about the set rules of modeling the Olympic medals. In all cases, the basic size has to be kept the same. The building material for both the first and second medals is also to be the same – silver in both cases. But the only difference remains in the 6g fine gold plating for the champion’s medal. However, the most differences come in between the Olympic and Paralympic medals.

Unlike the Olympic medals, the design of the goddess Athena Nike is absent in the Paralympic medals. Moreover, the base of the Paralympic medals is kept with fewer designs, leaving room for the hosting nation’s design there. But what makes the Paralympic medals stand out is Agitos’s presence. The sign defines the Paralympic movement in three colors- red, blue, and green. Apart from that, the braille scriptures narrating the host city and the year also make a difference. As creativity reaches a new height, the Paris Olympics 2024 has its own say in making the medals distinct.

The culmination of pride and fame in the Paris Olympics 2024 medal

When the Olympic hosting committee leaves a place for implementing creation, the Paris Olympics 2024 fills it with imagination. This happened in the latest medal designs as well. As the hosting committee held a special convention to implement its signs on the medal, the French committee chose its national emblem to put in there. The sign of Marianne made a special presence in the new designs. The French artist, Sylvain Boyer, added the resonating sphere in the background of Marianne to give out a French form in every way possible.
