After establishing himself as the king of the snow, Shaun looked back at his years of glories. While movies are fantasies for many, Shaun believes his life itself is no less than a cinematic masterpiece.

Shaun White enjoyed competing for more than winning medals

As Shaun competes at the US Grand Prix on his quest for a berth to Beijing, finding similarities between his life and the famous movie, Rocky, Shaun said“I remember going to my first Olympics and they’re like ‘Hey look, this is kind of like the movie Rocky.’ Like, he doesn’t even win in the movie. It’s all about the thrill of the fight, what it took to get there and what kind of person he had to become to get to this place and you’re kind of forever changed by that.”

He further added, ”I mean, that’s the true accomplishment and obviously winning medals and things like that is the icing on the cake. But, just to go there and do all that again would be amazing.”
