Apart from skateboarding, the superstar has shown his interest in producing video games. In 1999, a video game named, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, based on skateboarding was released. They expected it to gain popularity only in the skateboarding community, but surprisingly, the game crossed the benchmark. People from all over the world started loving the game and its dynamics. Soon enough, there was a different fandom for the game that included people beyond the skateboarding fans.
Nevertheless, Tony Hawk once lost in his own game in front of a whole crowd. He spoke about the same in a recent interview and pinned it as the “Most embarrassing moment” of his life.
The pro skater said, “My most embarrassing moment was losing at my own video game in front of a live audience.”
Following the success of Hawk’s first video game, he released several other video games. Each game consisted of various maps, graphics, and visuals that attracted fans. In addition, every series has a taste and essence of its own, making it unique and noteworthy.

In 2019, Tony Hawk appeared for an interview with Vogue, involving a tour of his San Diego home. He answered 73 questions related to different aspects of his life.
In the beginning itself, the interviewee asked him what, according to him, are the most common misconceptions. In reply, he said, “I think that they’re lazy stoners and I can tell you it’s the exact opposite,” the skateboarding icon said. Hawk concluded by saying, “To be a pro skater, you have to be disciplined, you have to be determined and you have to work at it.”
