Seeing the victorious achievements like three titles and the NSA world champions titles, various media organization invites him to know him from inside.

However, once, the skateboarding legend was invited for a weird interview. In addition, the way Tony described it made it look more uncanny.

During the ESPN interview, Tony was asked to share a weird interview of his life. The interviewer questioned, “I am totally joking. I can only guess how many interviews just like this you have given. What’s the strangest interview you have ever had?”

Hawk replied, “I think the strangest one I have ever had, the interviewer … it was kind of a Maxim-type magazine and the interviewer wanted to play me in Scrabble while they were trying to distract me with a girl in a bikini. It was really awkward. But I ended up beating him in Scrabble and finishing the interview. So I guess I wasn’t too distracted.”

Yet, even after turning 54-year-old, Tony’s passion for the game shows no signs of abating. He made such an impact on skateboarding that he was selected to commentate at the Tokyo Olympics.

Power of Tony’s Skateboarding
When Tony went to Tokyo for the commentary, he did something which led him to be kicked out of the games. In a podcast, he shared, “The street area is right next to the park, and I roll in with my skateboard, and I’m like, oh, I’m getting it…I get in and start skating.”

The incident occurred due to COVID-19 precautions. Even though Tony may be well known, he must follow the rules. And it was evident from the regulations that he was not allowed to ride on the racetrack. But what was certain to happen did. Tony stated: “I did get kicked off the street course….”
