A legendary meet for Eileen Gu

Beijing Olympic 2022 gold medalist Eileen Gu recently attended the Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula One’s Season Launch event. This is where the young skier came across the Dutch F1 champion Max Verstappen, who is a part of team Red Bull. She uploaded a picture alongside the racing superstar and tagged him.

However, in another story, Gu also posted a picture with the renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. The skier seems to be a big fan of the science communicator, as she captioned her story, “Just talked to @neildegrasstyson about neutron degeneracy pressure don’t text me I’ll be recovering for a few days🤯🤯🤯”

Seems like the Chinese star had a wonderful time at the racing event. At their 2023 season launch, the Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula One Team disclosed their new kit and the new car.

As the event took place in New York City, the Stanford alumni [Gu] had to fly all the way across the country. Besides skiing affairs, the Olympic champion has attended various off-field events, including the Cannes Film Festival.

From skiing hills to Cannes

In 2022, after creating history at the Winter Olympics, the 18-year-old skier rose to fame. Besides several off-the-snow events, Gu also appeared at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Gu, also a model, attended the formal dinner party with the famous fashion brand Louis Vuitton and Vanity Fair.

Although Gu did not stay at the event for long, it was enough to mark her presence. The Chinese skier also talked about how fashion and skiing are parallel and how the sport helps individuals express themselves through their kits. From there, Gu later left for another event in LA.
