The 2023-24 Alpine Skiing World Cup is here. One of the biggest skiing showdowns is going to commence on 28th Oct 2023 in Solden, Austria. Starting with women’s giant slalom races on Saturday and men’s on Sunday, the world awaits great skiers to clinch historic wins this season. One of them is alpine skiing queen, ?Mikaela Shiffrin.

Interestingly, as Shiffrin touched down in Solden, she received Taylor Swift themed surprise from her fandom. Hours before the awaited showdown, the skier’s recent update regarding Swift’s newly launched 1989 Taylor’s version.

On Friday, Swift released ?1989 (Taylor?s Version)” ? 9 years to the day after the actual album was released.? On the same note on 28th Oct 2023, a few hours ago, 28-year-old skier Shiffrin took to her Instagram handle and added a new Post to her account. The day is pretty special for the athlete.?

In the post, she added a reel of her showcasing the friendship bands Shiffrin has gotten from fans in a surprise. She was in an open car interacting with her fans, and in return the admirers and spectators welcomed her with the bands.

Skier of the year is looking on 100th Mark

The skiing world erupted in cheers as Shiffrin notched her 87th World Race victory, surpassing Ingemar Stenmark. Now, as she is just 12 victories short to reach the 100th triumph, Shiffrin approaches the milestone with a down-to-earth perspective. She admits, “I don’t see it. If we’re being realistic, it could happen, but I can’t quite wrap my head around what that would look or feel like.”
