The Olympic year doesn’t only hold the athletes’ list and events, but also the schedule of the Summer Games in the upcoming years. To say the least, the Olympic committee prefers to plan everything ahead of time. Rather, a decade ago. In 2034, no one knows what the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will offer. But, Salt Lake City-Utah is making rounds as the chosen location. Now, let’s take a look at the Utah Olympics’ 2034 venues.

Utah Olympic Park, Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, and the Utah Olympic Oval are some of the facilities proposed hitherto. Some of the resorts include Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain. But there’s one or two venues among these which don’t have a good history. Are they safe for skiing athletes? Let’s run through it.

Around 2022, the Utah Olympic Oval witnessed a precocious 17-year-old fall at the mouth of a heinous fate. David Schlicht, at 15 years of age, landed on an inflatable airbag from his high-flying aerial. He was so caught in it that after the air toppled him over; he dug himself 60 feet into the ground. Now functioning with an amputated leg, Schlicht still keeps his fingers crossed.

At the Utah Olympic Legacy Park, one family turned their vacation into a nightmare in September 2016. While sliding on a sled, the track hindered the movement and gave burns to the family, especially the father, who burned his arms, hands, and legs on the metal slide. This was the case when temperatures reached below the 80s. The Alpine Slide has scarred them forever and might be a little worrisome for the 2034 Olympic Games athletes.

In 2017, a pro snowboarder named Ryan Stassel was falling victim to fatality while training for the PyeongChang Olympics. After that incident, he issued, “This is how not to train for the Olympics.” This was also related to the airbags, snowboarders and skiers’ use. In 2009, at the Utah Olympic Park, a bobsled accident left a 15-year-old girl injured in a way that she had to be rushed to the hospital immediately.

To tell the tale of more bobsled injuries, a man and a woman were rushed to the hospital from the Utah Olympic Park. As more such stories circulate, the athletes are having their hands clasped. After the world has seen the likes of the stellar skiers in the past season, any flaw in the venues may be life-changing. Hopefully, things go well for them.
