With “19 Screws” Already in Her Arm, Lindsey Vonn Drops Another Post-Surgery Update

Lindsey Vonn, a former American skiing legend, is a force of nature on the slopes. She’s conquered icy mountains and earned victories on the slopes, leaving a trail of records and triumphs. Yet, behind her dazzling skiing career lies a relentless series of MRIs, surgeries, and screws that is not known by all.

Recently, in July 2023 another surgery joined her long list of battles. Regardless of everything, Vonn shared every bit of it with her 2.2 Million of Instagram family and kept them updated. However, there are scars behind every surgery that remain on the body for a while. The athlete has recently attended one of the popular fashion shows and flaunted her fresh scars just like her outfit.

The journey for fans began on 25th July when for the very first time vonn shared an update showcasing that she will soon undergo another surgery. In the pictures, Vonn was captured spending quality time with her dog. She didn’t delve into the specifics of the surgery, but her post offered a peek into a cheerful day spent with her furry companion. A few days later, she announced the success of the surgery. That’s not all!

She chronicled her journey through an Instagram post and stories. In her post-surgery message, Lindsey expressed gratitude for the support she received and explained that the surgery aimed to manage her pain. She remained optimistic about the potential results and her return to her beloved activities.

Despite the challenges, she emphasized her love for skiing and her unwavering determination to overcome setbacks, maintaining her motto of resilience. Lindsey also extended thanks to her doctor for the exceptional care. Now, as of September 15, 2023, adorned with those enduring scars, she transformed her outfit into a work of art.

The images capture her wearing a striking black cape jacket, her radiant smile radiating positivity. Alongside these pictures, she shared a cryptic caption, “My fresh scar came out to play for the @carolinaherrera show. Congrats @wesgordon.” Her resilience, appearance, and resolve post-retirement have only grown stronger. There was a period when she openly acknowledged the presence of 19 screws in her arm, a revelation that made waves and sparked concern among her global fanbase.

During an interview with Inc. Magazine on April 13, 2023, Lindsey Vonn opened up about the many injuries she faced throughout her skiing career, all of which posed a real threat to her future in the sport. Among these injuries, the most significant occurred during the 2013 World Championships.

At that event, Vonn went through a terrifying crash that left her with torn ACL and MCL ligaments, along with a fractured tibial plateau in her right knee. Highlighting the immense challenges she encountered, she shared how countless people doubted her comeback.

She underwent two ACL surgeries, received treatment for her MCL and meniscus, and carries a plate secured by 19 screws in her arm. Vonn added,  “I can’t tell you how many times people told me that I wouldn’t come back. I had two ACL surgeries, MCL meniscus. I have a plate and 19 screws in my arm.”
