Shaun White made fans emotional by sharing an emotional  throwback

Shaun was a product of extreme dedication, not only on his part but also that of his parents. When he was a youngling, his parents decided to go live in a van so Shaun could get enough snowy slopes to practice upon. And when he finally entered and won his first Olympics in 2006, none but his father was the proudest.

In a prior interview with CNN, Shaun reminisced how his old man had tears that day too and how he was touched by it. To commemorate his father’s importance in his life, Shaun shared a tweet with an image of the son-dad duo crying and hugging, titling it as I’m so glad we’re not like those father-son duos who get overly emotional…Thank you for always being there. #HappyFathersDay. I love you.”

Fans were quick to catch onto the original tweet and sent both Shaun and his dad tons of wholesome messages. The throwback not only reminded the sporting community about Shaun’s father’s belief and love for his son but also about White’s achievements as an athlete.  Fans had all sorts of adorable reactions, like this one:
