Shaun White is one of those few legends from the snowboarding and skateboarding world, who won 3 Olympic gold medalists along with medals at the X games. The maestro retired in 2022 after the Beijing Olympics. Moreover, even after retiring from his sport, Shaun White is not away from the snow. Recently, he posted on his social media about his vacation in one of the coldest places on earth.

After his retirement, White is seen teaming up with his girlfriend Nina Dobrev, and visiting places around the world.

After his long journey of 20 years, White, 35, decided to take off from snowboarding. Reportedly, he injured his back and knee quite often and the cold worked as a catalyst for it. So, to fans’ astonishment, he declared the Beijing Olympics 2022 as his last appearance. After the announcement he said, “… I think this is will be my last — well, it will be my last competition. Which is pretty special too.” The unbearing cold and health issues were something understandable for his followers.

But now White startled them once again. As always, the legend took to social media to let the world know of his status. He posted on his Instagram account, “Guy retires from winter sports only to vacation in Antarctica Happy 2023 everyone!!” He understood and incorporated the tone of irony in his post.

However, his fans commented hilariously on this and quoted him, “The cold never bothered me anyway”. One even assumed that White is going to propose to his girlfriend, “Looks like you’re getting ready to propose.”

White is enjoying his life after retirement from snowboarding. After his last Olympics, he dabbled with and presented the Oscar event of 2022. He, along with his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, holidayed to many places. They went to Canne Film Festival with each other, before visiting Monaco, Dubai, and Maldives. It’s like the couple is relishing their time together and getting to know more about each other.

Now they are in Antarctica after Mexico, and speculations are there from his post about his clothes. He is dressed like a “soon-to-propose” man. Though nothing is confirmed, it would be great to catch these two love birds together after his retirement.
