Undoubtedly, Svana has encountered numerous obstacles on her journey. During her debut qualifying tournament last year, she sustained a foot injury mere minutes into the competition. However, rather than allowing this setback to deter her, Svana persisted in her relentless pursuit of qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics. But how did her journey begin in this sport?

From Parisian prodigy to national icon

Svana’s journey into the world of climbing began with her induction into the Youth French Team back in 2010. Demonstrating exceptional talent from a young age, she swiftly secured numerous podium finishes in both lead climbing and bouldering categories across various French Cup competitions. Even outside the realm of climbing, Svana showcased her prowess as she clinched the title of European Universities Vice-Champion alongside her engineering school in 2016.

Hailing from the vibrant Paris region, Svana’s quest for excellence led her to Lyon at the tender age of 17, where she enrolled at the esteemed Institute National des Sciences Appliquees (INSA). Eager to continue her athletic pursuits, she wasted no time in immersing herself in the high-level sports section upon her arrival. Through a specialized program tailored to accommodate her academic commitments, Svana persisted in her training regimen, eventually earning her place among the elite French climbers, and is now ready to compete at the Paris Olympics.
