While collecting chances of winning in the Vans Pipe Masters surfing championship, the icon John John Florence counted Ivan Florence ahead of Nathan Florence. “The plan is that I’m gonna win, Ivan’s gonna get second and Nathan’s gonna get third,” predicted John John. However, later results outnumbered Ivan’s surfing outing in the venerated Hawaii title run. But the veteran like John John never obliterated Ivan Florence in practicing his versatile prowess.

A glance of the multiple-spirited prowess caught the public eye recently in Ivan Florence’s IG story. However, the headcount of the audience was categorically minuscule. But the performance criteria were full on the meter.

Ivan Florence dangles himself on a board other than a surfing one

On December 22, Ivan Florence tried his skateboarding prowess paired with other famed names in the games. In the posted IG story, the surfing throb was visible giving a head-to-head run to the seasonal American skateboarder, Evan Mock. However, the winner’s name couldn’t be made public.

But the continuous cheering from another Hawaiian surfing pro and skateboarder, Bobby, and local skateboard tutor, Trenton McCullough, attested to Ivan’s glorious run.

In the same post, Ivan Florence’s spirited try at flipping the skateboard was also visible. However, in that part, Ivan took a low as his technique couldn’t back him up with a timely flip of the skateboard. However, the range of stories revealed further shades of the junior Florence.

The skateboard arena seemed to fill with patches of water. But under the watch of Ivan Florence, those patches skedaddled. The jocund Ivan took the role of ‘clean up crew’ to remove those as he mentioned in another IG story’s caption. The anonymous videographer buoyed the surfing celeb’s up by announcing, “not afraid of work”. This time, Ivan Florence responded with his wise yet small smile.

The obvious skateboarding love of the surfers

In Minneapolis, the phenomenal skateboarder Alex Sorgente piled up support for surfing after experiencing skateboarding. “You stand up and you make your own lines on the wave like you’re skating a bowl or something. It’s rad,” Sorgente claimed to the Inertia. Even Ivan’s big brother, John John Florence, couldn’t argue more. The best surfer in the Vans Pipeline has often resorted to skateboarding in his leisure time. When asked about his share of reason, John coined that skating helped him have fun.

However, for Ivan, both parts might have assimilated. The seasoned surfer often appeared with the skateboard and a bunch of his pro skateboarding pals. Several times, John John Florence also appeared to give him company in skateboarding as he did in the Vans Pipe Masters this year.
