Despite Broken Surfboard, Former World Number 1 Surfer Remains Unfazed While Riding Waves in a Video Going Viral All Over the Internet

One of the surfing world’s most promising surfers Jack Robinson stunned the community with his performance at the Billabong Pro 2023. Competing against Leonardo Fioravanti, the 25-year-old earned the World No. 1 rank in the opening season of WSL. Since then, the young surfer has garnered great limelight for his surfing prowess. Recently, in an internet video, Robinson was spotted performing mind-blowing tricks, but he was not on a regular surfboard.
On 9 June, Red Bull’s official Instagram page shared a video of Robinson surfing in dense foam on a broken surfboard. The consistency with which he performed for a few minutes would win anyone’s heart. Take a look!

In the Instagram video, Robinson can be seen riding a yellow surfing board that was half the size of a regular one. The 25-year-old effortlessly paddled on it, meandering through restless waves. At one point, he rode the board in a straight direction and suddenly did a quick twist and left his fandom astounded.
As he moved ahead, Robinson’s lower body got covered with massive dense foam. Viewers would only get to see his head popping out of the foam. However, despite getting covered with foam, the talented surfer remained unstoppable. He continued to surf ahead but soon sat down on his board, making him untraceable in the video.

Undoubtedly, Robinson has reached a great place in his surfing career. However, his success was not built in a day. Recently, in a podcast interview, Robinson shared several nooks and crannies about the early days of him as a surfer.
Jack Robinson got his first sponsorship at 11
In an interview with Jamie O’Brien, Jack Robinson revealed that he received his first sponsor, Quicksilver at the age of 11. They offered him 25 grands which was a great deal for a surfer of that age. Nevertheless, since Robinson loved meat pies, his sponsors assured him its supply for a year.

He shared that he would go on surfing tours to Gold Coast, Australia and Bali, and France with his fellow surfers Kanoa Igarashi and Leonardo Fioravanti. They would observe the greatest surfers like Kelly Slater, Mike Fanning, etc. Robinson shared that these legendary surfers would encourage them. Recalling those memories, he added that it was one of the best days of his life.
