Luckily, after a few struggling moments, the ugly fight between the shark and the 30-year-old ended. Marsden and his friend slowly began paddling to the shore. Since they were in a remote location, they had to wait for a four-wheeler to reach them. Later on, Marsden was transferred to an ambulance that took him to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. By Sunday night, he was again transferred to the Perth Hospital where he underwent his first surgery.
