Animal cruelty is a rising problem all across the globe. The world has witnessed several instances of human beings not only intruding on the wildlife territory but exploiting the fauna. Even the sports industry is getting dragged into this vicious cycle. This time surfing has become the subject of debate because of a recent incident. 

On December 22, news6 reported on a wave camera footage that shows violent disturbing visuals. 

Footage reveals the inhuman act near a surfing beach

The videos show a middle-aged man in a blue shirt hitting shark wishes with a hammer. He was alleged to be fishing on the beach when he caught a large shark fish. The footage shows the man continuing to land big blows on the shark’s skull till it died. He was later seen to be dragging the lifeless body around the beach. 

The wildlife officials of Florida are searching for the accused guy and are closely monitoring the CCTV footage of the area. Police are further seeking the help of surfers to identify the man behind the heinous deed. The authorities are facing pressure from the localities to speed up the investigation process.

While the act may not be a crime, the cold-hearted blows on the voiceless creature show the lack of humanity. Viewers and localities are furious after the incident and are raising their voices. 

Fans’ reaction to the tragic incidence

The comment section of the report was bombarded with demands for the immediate arrest of the culprit. A fan wrote that the accused should be spending a decade in jail for such an inhuman crime. “Prison for that creep, at least 10 years,” one wrote. “Bull crap! He needs to be in jail”, one fan demanded while hoping for quick justice. 

One supporter used satire to make a mockery of the man’s stupidity. He wrote, “never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.” However, certain people wanted the man to go through the same pain that the voiceless creature went through. “He needs to get the same punishment as the shark”, a fan wrote while demanding strict steps against such a crime.

A fan highlighted the emotional angle and asked people to refrain from engaging in such actions as the fishes too belong to a community. “Don’t do that shit in the Islands. Your beating someone’s ancestor’s head in with a hammer. Big slaps coming in that case.” one wrote. The man urged the localities not to interfere with the wildlife outside the human territory as God has given that space to them and one should abide by the Almighty’s rule.
