The surfing sport often remains in the headlines due to the extraordinary skills of surfers. The breathtaking performances of the participants have made it popular in different parts of the country. However, things get better when not just surfers, but even animals start participating in the game. A similar moment of animals showcasing their surfing skills was recorded in the islands of California. 

Ryan L, an aquatic photographer and boat driver recently shot some really beautiful moments of sea lions playing with the waves. 

Sea Lions stealing the show from their skills

Shared on Art, Craft & Architecture’s Facebook page, the video was shot near Santa Barbara Island which generally consists of a large number of sea lions. The place generally becomes the host of some of the skyscraping waves. However, this time it was aquatic animals making the best use of the ocean currents. There were plenty of lions seen on the top of some gigantic waves. The animals were using their back flippers to stay on top and the front one to keep changing their direction.

A dog’s surfing story

Last year, surfing fans were left stunned when they saw a four-legged creature swiftly making its way into the waves. The incident happened at Cornish beach in August 2022 when a black labrador got onto the surfboard and showcased some of its skills. 

The moment shocked beachgoers with the absolute calmness on the dog’s face. While other surfers struggled to find a single wave, the dog smoothly slid onto the waves with perfect balance. The graceful nature of the dog was the highlight of the story.
