On 31st August White took to his Instagram handle and added a new set of pictures to his account. In a surprising twist, the posts aren’t of some event or spending time with his Girlfriend. Rather it showcases his new venture into the world of surfing. He can be seen riding towering waves with the same dedication that earned him Olympic gold medals. His post comes with a tantalizing caption, “Barely made it out of this tube, braaaaa!!!.

While Shaun White’s fame is firmly rooted in the world of snowboarding, his recent social media posts have revealed a side of him that few anticipated. In a poignant moment, White was last seen alongside legendary figures like “Tony Hawk” and “Kelly Slater,” delivering a moving speech at the Academy Awards. Snowboarder talks about his father’s dream

Almost everyone nurtures alternative career aspirations, not out of fear of failure, but to indulge other interests. Much like Shaun White, the snowboarding legend, who envisioned himself in different sports. Responding to a query about his alternate choice on Twitter. He answered, “Probably surfing. Cause boards and I get along. I’m named Shaun after Shaun Tomson, a professional South African surfer.” he expressed an affinity for surfing due to his connection with boards and his namesake, Shaun Tomson.

But that’s not all, as he further added, ” “I’m a Southern California kid and I get to the mountain, and I’m freezing. And I look at my phone and Kelly Slater just posted from Fiji. Obviously, I’ve grown to love the mountains throughout my profession, but yeah, surfing”.

Though not as fervently as his father, who dreamt of him becoming a pro surfer, White’s love for the sport exists. He contrasts his discomfort atop freezing mountains with his admiration for Kelly Slater’s tropical posts, confessing a preference for surfing. Soccer also features among White’s secondary passions which would be a piece of new information to some.
