Getting chased by a swan while surfing might sound pretty unusual. But such a hilarious incident actually happened last year, leaving surfing lovers completely tickled. The video went viral on the internet, making huge headlines for the unavoidable race that happened between the man and the swan.

Last year, a short YouTube video revealed that when a man was surfing at Lake Austin, Texas, where he was suddenly noticed by a swan. Unexpectedly, it frantically chased the man. But who won the chase?

The surfing man’s friends began yelling seeing the swan

Sean Conway was the man wake surfing at Lake Austin. He revealed that his friends Chris and Rick had invited him to try it. On the day of the incident, Conway was on his fifth attempt at wake surfing. Technically, his surfing boat was tied to a speedboat which was dragging it through the lake waters. Everything seemed fine until he was noticed by an angry swan.

The video shows the large swan chasing the surfing man. It frantically paddled to come at a parallel distance with him. However, before it came to the same level the large bird attacked him from behind. However, Conway on noticing the swan tried to shoo him with his hand. It pecked at his feet while he tried balancing himself on the surfboard.

Nevertheless, his friends began yelling on seeing the angry swan chasing him. Eventually, Conway was thrown into the water as he lost to the swan. After the incident, Conway told Newsflash “I think it’s a positive that Mother Nature gives us a healthy poke to remind us we need to preserve this planet.” In another encounter last year, a man had to face off with a pregnant otter for his surfboard.

Otter snatches a man’s surfboard

Surfers usually face several challenges with highly engulfing waves, but an interesting chase with an otter sounds completely unusual. Last year, surfer Nick Ericksen had to face-off against a pregnant otter who snatched his boat, and started gnawing at it.

Ericksen tried to take his surfboard back from the otter, to no avail. Later, he was helped by other surfers to help him get it back. Although the incident sounds hilarious, the surfer realized that adorable otters can be pretty dangerous too.
