Generally people take the recovery period of surfers for granted. A recent video from a reputed surfer has clarified all these misconceptions about the rehab phase. American surfer Parker Coffin had recently posted information about his improving condition after a nerve-wrenching accident a month ago. According to the reports by surfer.com, Coffin has been giving his best to recover from the injury. He updated his fans about his approach in the upcoming months.

Popular surfer revealed his approach during the recovery period

The surfing star gave details of his latest improvement in vision. “I have full vision and am just waiting for the scar tissue to continue to break down so I can open my eye all the way,” he wrote in the IG post. He further added that his body is feeling great and there has been a lot of positive energy around him. “Bodies are incredible,” wrote Coffin.

The 27-year-old further revealed that he has been working out on regular basis. According to him without surfing for more than a month, his confidence has gone down. But he has been trying his best to stay in a positive frame of mind.

Coffin met with a gruesome accident during surfing

The American surfer was playing with the waves in the soup bowls when things went out of his control. Coffin, while trying to make his way through a tube, ended up colliding with a sharp-edged lede. He lost his balance and hit his head on the sharp reef.

Coffin revealed that the impact almost took away his left eye and nose. “The way I fell sent me straight into the reef onto my face and shredded my left eye and nose,” he wrote. His partner was shocked by the incident and he was taken to the hospital for immediate attention.

Coffin had to spend a month in the hospital and now has finally started recovering. He also thanked his fans and wellwishers who prayed for his speedy recovery. Let’s hope he gets to be back on the waves soon with some more thrills for his fans. Of course, while keeping safe!
