7x Olympic Gold Medalist, Caeleb Dressel, Flaunts His Well-Maintained Pokémon Card Collection: “I’m Very Interested in It as You Can See”

Olympic gold medalist swimmer, Caeleb Dressel, who is worth millions of dollars, was recently showing off his collection to his fans. One might think that a millionaire like him would be into collecting exquisite art pieces or expensive cars, perhaps. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Dressel is currently living every kid’s dream.
The 26-year-old swimmer is into collecting cards of one of the most popular games and tv series of all time, Pokémon. The Pokémon video series was first launched in 1997. Even after decades, it continues to be as popular as ever. Merchandise, like cards and stuffed toys, played a major role in boosting its popularity. Dressel, who is now able to collect these cards, took to his Instagram to show it off to his followers.

On 5th January 2023, the gold medalist swimmer posted two video stories on his Instagram profile. In those videos, Dressel revealed he is an avid Pokémon fan. Caeleb Dressel added that though he has been into Pokémon since childhood, he never tried collecting their cards. Dressel gave collecting Pokémon cards a shot to see if he was interested in it. As it turns out, he is very much so.
“I’ve always been into Pokémon. I never really got into collecting cards as a kid, though. I played the games but never got into the cards. So I got into the cards recently just to see if it would be something I’m interested in. I’m very interested in it as you can see it. I’m only doing Gen 1. I’ll show off my collection,” said Caeleb Dressel in his Instagram story. Following this, Dressel took his fans through his entire collection. He also gave little details, like his favorite Pokémon and what kind of Pokémon is included in his collection.

Toward the end of the second video, he showed the pile of cards that won’t make it to his collection because they aren’t from the first generation. Dressel also had three new decks of cards which he was planning to open during an Instagram live. It isn’t the first time Caeleb Dressel has used Instagram to show something off to his followers.

Dressel flaunts his strength in the gym
In April 2022, Caeleb Dressel posted a video of him working out in the gym on his Instagram. The 6’2″ tall swimmer was snatching 220 pounds in the video. It isn’t common to see swimmers training with such heavyweights. Naturally, Dressel’s display of strength while performing the deadlift stunned the viewers.
