Not something Nic Fink expected

It was not easy to compete on the tough swimming grid. The 50-meter event included a number of big names, including Adam Peaty and Nic Fink. Fink was also in his best form, as he had recently won gold in the 100-meter breaststroke, which was the first title for the Americans after Brendan Hansen’s stint in 2007.

The previous win by Nic Fink was also no easy feat, as he had to beat Adam Peaty and Nicolo Martinenghi for the gold in the previous event. Because of the unpredictable nature of such events and their brief duration, however, no one can foretell the outcomes. Parallel to each other in lanes 3-6, Nic Fink, Sam Williamson, Nicolo Martinenghi, and Adam Peaty competed in the event.

At the sound of the buzzer, every one of the eight swimmers had entered in the pool. Expect Peaty; Fink, Williamson and Martinenghi were putting up a tremendous fight, and the commentators were on the tip of their seats as the seconds ticked past. In a really spectacular display of athleticism, the swimmers were competing side by side.
