One of the most dangerous aspects of water sports is its deadly accidents. Shark attacks are a primary issue people face while spending quality time in seas or oceans. On May 11, the capital of shark attacks, Florida, witnessed another heart-wrenching accident of a 13-year-old. Interestingly, the teenager survived the lethal experience after battling the bull shark. Her courageous stance went viral on the internet, with netizens dropping hilarious comments.

On May 14, Instagram page, Pubity shared about the deadly accident of 13-year-old, Ella Reed. On learning about the girl being covered in blood from head to toe and still escaping the gruesome mishap, netizens flooded the comment sections with various thoughts.

How did the fight between the 13-year-old and the bull shark turn out?

According to a report by Local 10 News, Ella Reed was sitting in shallow water at Fort Pierce Beach with her friend. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. Reed explained that a powerful shark was incessantly hitting her stomach. Immediately, she decided to fight back the deadly predator.

Reed began incessantly punching the shark. In the tussle, she got bitten several times in her stomach, arms, and fingers. The 13-year-old described the fight to WPTV, “It went straight to me and got my stomach first, and I tried blocking it with my arm and my hand, and it kind of slipped in and got my finger and my arm, and it swooped around and got my leg again.”

After some time, the shark swam away but immediately came back to bite the teenager. However, by that time, she had called her mother and brother. They rescued her while she was drenched in blood. On getting medical assistance, Reed incurred 19 stitches. However, she still plans to go back to the beaches and swim.

Amidst many people getting amputated or killed during such attacks, netizens were extremely happy to learn about the girl surviving the accident. “So happy that the girl survived such a brave soul to fight such an aggressive and dangerous creature.”, commented a user.
