The TYR Pro Swim Series 2024 expected the 1500m tussle between two American swimming homebodies, named Bobby Finke and Charlie Clark. For the last few occasions, these two duo launched their neck-to-neck run in every 1500m free, neglecting the other lotic giants. The last time they met in the Greensboro Arena of the US Open Swimming Championship, Clark had to chase Finke full-heartedly, only to see himself on a lower podium. Moreover, on that day there was a prodigy, Matt Fallon, on the list. However, he had to be satisfied with the lower position.

Bobby Finke sweeps a clean slate in 1500m

On January 10, Wednesday, the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center was waiting for a swimming spearhead in the men’s 1500m free discipline in TYR Pro Swim Series 2024. The platform was open to all as last time, in Fukuoka a young swimmer named Ahmed Hafnaoui from Tunisia stole the show. The American chance, Bobby Finke, couldn’t get the top pavement in the podium even after coming better off his own PB.

However, the TYR Pro Swim Series 2024 stayed apart. On Wednesday evening, Bobby Finke’s competitors changed, but his glory run didn’t. The USA Swimming News unveiled the news with the clocking of the first three podium holders.

Moreover, this time Charlie Clark couldn’t make a presence in the meet. But the achieved timing might give the US Open Swimming champion a breather, after improving the timing compared to his arch-rivals.

The unusual scenic beauty

In the absence of Ahmed Hafnaoui and Charlie Clarke, Felix Auboeck rose to the occasion in the TYR Pro Swim Series 2024. However, his timing was bleak than Hafnaoui achieved in 2023. But the improvement was fairly visible. The runner-up position paired with the Michigan swimmer well on the eve of his engagement with fellow swimmer Catie DeLoof.

However, the result was much more on an expected note. But the rise of Connor Lamastra could be the major takeaway from the event. In the 2023 World University Games, Lamastra could pull out a hefty run in the 200m fly. Since then, the current achievement in the TYR Pro Swim Series 2024 showcased a valuable turn-up.
