Soon after embarking on the mission to clinch gold at any cost, Andrew witnessed one of the major upsets in his career after the conclusion of the event. Although Andrews aimed to finish first, he was unable to overcome Diago Matos Ribeiro’s intense speed. While Diago completed the race at 22.97, Andrews clocked 23.07.

Interestingly, Ribeiro, a 19-year-old young swimmer from Portugal, portrayed lightning speed and finished atop the podium at the Men’s 50 m butterfly event. In addition to this, he left Andrews to settle for a silver medal at the event. However, the Olympic Gold medalist wanted more from his performance and is eyeing another big event.
