Parents love when their children follow in their footsteps. Legendary swimmer Michael Phelps who is the father of three beautiful sons, is no exception. Recently a video of his two younger sons, Beckett and Maverick swimming has been making rounds on the internet. It shows the impeccable Phelps genes in full display. The shared passion brings them closer and creates an even stronger bond. 

He had initially expressed that his sons are free to choose their paths in life. In a recent video posted on Instagram, the two brothers are attempting tricks underwater that will leave you wondering what they put in those waters at the Phelps house.

Like Father, Like Son: Beckett’s Displays Extraordinary Talent

In the video, 5-year-old Beckett Richard Phelps and 3-year-old Maverick Nicolas Phelps successfully perform certain moves that even skilled swimmers would have difficulty performing. Beckett is shown performing an underwater trick where he dives while somersaulting to the bottom of a private pool. Then he lay on his belly at the bottom of the floor. He also seemed to be creeping along the floor.

Maverick, too, showcased his own impressive skills. Maverick, who looked adorable in his polychromatic striped shirt, stood beside his brother in the pool. He used the second stair from the top of the pool to stay afloat on the surface. You would not believe what he did next.

Maverick Following His Brother’s Example

When Beckett dived underwater, the youngest Phelps soon followed suit. First, he took a big gulp of air through his mouth and then dove underwater. He completed two full rotations when Beckett came from below and flipped him again. However, this did not phase the young prodigy one bit. He quickly swam to the bottom to regain balance and propelled his body upwards using the last step in the pool. When he came to the surface to breathe, he could be seen standing on his toes on the last step of the pool.
