23 times Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps originates from Baltimore. Now, it’s needless to say that he is a die-hard fan of the Baltimore Ravens. There’s been more than one instance when the “flying fish” has talked about his favorite NFL team. While he made the entire world talk about his incredible acumen in swimming, his followers love to know about the sport he follows, and the team he is a fan of.

Being a Ravens fan, Phelps shared a very endearing relationship with the team. Recently, when he gifted a special memento of the NFL team to his coach Bob Bowman, it definitely earned fans’ attention. Let’s dig deeper to know more.

Emerging from the city of Baltimore, the swimming legend is an ardent fan of the Ravens, although, his coach is no exception too. Evidently, Bowman has a room of memoirs from his favorite NFL team. Recently, there’s been a small addition. Phelps reposted a picture on his Instagram story, which was originally shared by Bowman. The legendary coach posted the picture of Lamar Jackson’s jersey, framed and hung on a wall, along with the caption, “New addition to the @ravens wall. Thanks @m_phelps00!”

Evidently, both of them are huge fans of the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson. Therefore Phelps decided to gift the 8-numbered jersey to his coach, for whom it is priceless. In fact, the team holds a significant space in Phelps’s heart, and previously, fans saw the legend defending his team publicly. Talking about his relationship with the team, it’s of utmost importance to share how an NFL player saved Phelps’s life.

Lewis helped the ‘flying fish’ to recover from his all-time low and shared in an interview, “I gave him some harsh reality. I said, ‘Bro, what are you doing with your life?’”

That eventually saved Phelps, as he confessed, “He tore me a new one,” In fact, after that, the Olympic gold medalist decided to learn from the reality check he received from Lewis, and took part in a rehabilitation program to make a comeback.
