It’s been years since swimming GOAT Michael Phelps confessed his love for his wife, Nichole Phelps, but the romance between them seems unending. As couples across the world celebrated the festival of love with their special ones on Valentine’s day, Phelps, too, grabbed the opportunity to confess again to his “forever Valentine.”

Sharing an adorable post with his Instagram family, the Olympic maestro earlier posted a heartwarming post specially dedicated to his beloved, Nicole.

When it came to swimming, hardly anyone could surpass Phelps- the Baltimore Bullet had absolute dominance. But when it comes to love, even Michael can not hold back his emotions. A man of few words, Phelps surprised fans and Nicole with a sweet delight as he posted a never-seen-before adorable picture of him and his wife.

Standing next to each other, the proud parents of three smiled the brightest for the camera. Sharing the sweet moment, Michael wrote, “This is my forever Valentine!!” In the snap, Nicole, dressed in a neon green-colored jacket, could be seen resting her head on Phelps’ chest while the happy husband had his arms tightly wrapped around her.

Despite Retirement, Michael Phelps Remains Undefeated in This Event for 14 Years

He even grabbed the opportunity to wish Nicole “Happy Valentine’s Day.” Needless to say, the couple looked adorable in the snap. Seeing her husband’s sweet gesture, even Nicole was quick to reciprocate him with love. Taking the aid of emojis, Mrs. Phelps dropped a couple of hearts and kissing emojis“🥹🥹🥰❤️”  to express her feelings. After years of courtship and blissful married life, the couple now stands inseparable, but there was a time when Nicole had hardly any interest in meeting the swimming star.

A look back at the bitter-sweet love story of Michael and Nichole 

For those unversed, Michael and Nicole met way back in 2007 at an ESPY Award. As Michael was invited to present the award, Nicole was instructed to guide him. However, unlike others, Nicole was quite upset because, back then, she was looking forward to pursuing a career as an F1 racing correspondent. All she thus wanted was to “escort Travis Pastrana.”

However, as destiny had planned, the couple soon fell in love. Speaking about it, Nicole later remarked, “Michael and I just completely hit it off.” They drifted apart for a few years but soon got back briefly in 2012 before again taking a break before the London Olympics. They dated on and off for some years before finally getting engaged in 2015. The following year they welcomed their son Boomer and made things official after hosting a private wedding.
