At first, in 2023, she made a 2:06.89 attempt in Canadian trials, defying the Olympic medalist’s regime in the event. Then the event made McIntosh another recipient in swimming history. So the TYR Pro Series 2024 appeared on the route to watch another stunner from the former Junior World champion.

The women’s 200 LC m IM event on day 4 of the TYR Pro Series 2024 was brewing interest as this time Summer McIntosh had another Olympic medalist in Alex Walsh defying her medal chance.

The 200m IM event witnessed several of the best outings of the Canadian teenage swimming marvel. Her last year’s achievements in the discipline attested to that.

The expectations

In the TYR Pro Series 2024, Summer McIntosh pulled out her name from the 400 m free to lower the pressure. Even in the 2023 World Championship, she omitted her name from the 200m IM event, which paid her records in Knoxville.

However, the Canadian’s supporting peers also know that pressure part. Echoing that statement, John Atkinson from Swimming Canada relished, “I’m not going to put a ceiling on expectations because she is a very talented, organized and driven young woman,”. But he batted for continued support for the teenager to enjoy her time in the swimming endeavors.
