“The Double-Decker Slapper”: Trying His Luck on the Diving Board, Famous Rapper Falls Prey to a Series of Unfortunate Events

Pool parties make up for some epic and embarrassing moments. And, American rapper and record executive Rick Ross has found himself in a similar predicament. Recently hip-hop icon Rick Ross became the talk of the town on the internet with his failed dive attempt.

However, the 9x Grammy nominee was all heart when the incident, caught on hundreds of phone cameras, was shared all over social media. Ross was hosting a pool party at his Georgia mansion when he fell awkwardly while attempting a dive.

Rick Ross’s botched diving attempt

The multi-millionaire rapper is no stranger to organizing extravagant parties at his mansion, labeled the Promised Land. Rick Ross is the proud owner of one of the biggest residential swimming pools in the United States. 47 years old Ross, who is usually known for his lyrical prowess, took everyone by surprise by getting up on the diving board.

What should have been an awesome and graceful dive turned out to be a comical mishap for the rapper. The rapper’s failed dive quickly went viral and caught all hip-hop lovers’ attention on the internet. However, Rozay embraced the response to his plunge and reshared the humorous videos of himself on his Instagram stories.

Ross confirmed that he has been getting lots of messages on Instagram lately about his failed dive. Messages like whether or not he is okay. In his Instagram story, Rick Ross admitted he was not okay. He further said, “I gave everybody my word I would do the double-decker slapper, I said that on my Stories earlier this week. The double-decker slapper. What is that? Who knows, I’ve never heard of it. I made it up on the diving board. I did a double bounce, and boy, my knee caught a flat.” 

Rick Ross’s Promised Land

The Georgia mansion was previously owned by former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield before the multi-millionaire rapper bought it back in 2014. Since then, the record executive has hosted a lot of parties and events at his house. The rapper’s house, popularly called the Promised Land, has seen a lot of events in its existence. Most recently, the mansion hosted around 6,000 people for Ross’s 2nd annual car show. Multiple police escorts were used to shuttle people to the rapper’s mansion.
