Two Weeks of ‘Record Level’ Performance Makes Fans Cheer for “Kaylee McKeown” as She Competes Against Sarah Sjostrom in a Different Race

The realm of swimming has always garnered undulating praise and fandom. Part of the reason is that the talented young mavericks set ablaze the pool on fire, using all their respective skill sets to their advantage. Women swimmers, on the other hand, have made a cerebral comeback of sorts and continue to dominate the Olympics and every other team sport out there. The World Aquatics chose three firebrand women swimmers including Kaylee McKeown for a special trophy, and fans enthusiastically voted for their favorites.

Sarah Sjostrom, Kaylee McKeown, and Mollie O’Callaghan are extolled as the next big things in swimming. They blazed a trail to victory in the Australian World Championship Trials. Sarah Sjostrom clocked in at 24.74 in the semis, Mollie O’Callaghan recorded an impressive 52.85. 21-year-old Kaylee McKeown from Australia solidified her presence though by securing a whopping 57.50 seconds in the women’s 100 m backstroke. Aussies and swimming fans alike were particularly taken by her recorded time.

All three of them proved their worth and stood tall with their win, but Kaylee McKeown has emerged as the one the denizens are all rooting for, in part due to her incredibly convincing performance at the World Aquatics Championship Trials. The World Aquatics handle on Instagram put up a poll asking the people to vote for their favorite and the list contained three marvelous contenders.
