Katie Ledecky is clearly a multi-faceted person and athlete. She moved away from her sport of choice on the eve of Thanksgiving day. Given the traditions accompanying the holiday, the swimming icon tried her hand at the culinary arts.

It was a break from the intense regimen and strict dietary restrictions that form part of a professional athlete’s life. Katie Ledecky, too, took one for a day of gastronomic delight, much like a typical Thanksgiving in any household. She shared the experience with her fans via social media.

Katie Ledecky took to Instagram to share a pair of images. In both, she stood in front of the kitchen counter with a can of LaCroix in her left hand. The first of them had the can held aloft while the latter saw it placed on the counter. Ledecky added the following words to the post, “Sous-chef reporting to duty with a sparkle! Mashed potatoes coming right up as I enjoy my tangerine @lacroixwater. Thankful for this family time #LiveLaCroix.”

Katie Ledecky knows how to make a splash. She made waves at the recent Golden Goggle Awards. In a first, she tied with Kate Douglass for the Female Athlete of the Year. Only time will tell how successful was that culinary adventure. Of course, the sight leading up to it thrilled the fans no end.

The sight of Katie Ledecky in the kitchen sporting an apron and enjoying a can of LaCroix elicited many responses. A major chunk of the responders wished her a Happy Thanksgiving. Regardless, there were also a good amount of jocular responses as some of her fans indulged in a spot of harmless leg-pulling.
One fan responded in much the same manner as the majority on this occasion. He wrote, “Nice!! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!!!”
Another fan asked that she save some of the LaCroix for him. He chimed in with the words, “Great, save me some.”
Lastly, one fan had a joke up her sleeve. She remarked, “Please tell me you’re not basting the turkey with Lacroix.”
