For Katie Ledecky, Caeleb Dressel, or Kate Douglass, this championship will set a perfect platform to test their ability yet again. So let’s have a look at Ledecky and Dressel‘s fixture in the Toyota US Open this year.

Katie Ledecky and Caeleb Dressel will appear in the championship?

Katie Ledecky might remember her last year’s performance in the 400m freestyle at the same event. That time, a 16-year-old Summer McIntosh gave her a tight battle, finishing in just a fraction of a second behind her. However, it was Ariarne Titmus who grabbed the race‌. However, in Fukuoka, both Katie and Summer used the platform to give some memorable performances. Summer clinched the top position in the 200m butterfly and 400m IM. Katie repeated her magic run in 800m freestyle and 1500m freestyle.?

However, both Katie and Summer will lock horns this time again in the 400m freestyle. Both might try to register their names in the 4:00 category. Ariarne Titmus’ consistent performance would be another factor to be looked into for Katie. The Olympic champion will have to face Siobhan Haughey’s challenge in the 200m freestyle. Her fans would want her to repeat her Fukuoka performance in the US Open as well.

In Greensboro, Caeleb Dressel will appear in the men’s 50m and 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly. The US Open might be a test of the former Olympic champion’s fitness, as in the past it has affected him.

The seven-time Olympic champion would want to forget this year’s performance as he failed to qualify for the Fukuoka meet. The same happened with him in Budapest last year, where he left the meet abruptly. However, his university coach, Anthony Nesty, still has been counting on him. So, Greensboro might be a perfect occasion for him to prove his mettle again. However, this year there won’t be Jack Alexy to challenge him in the 100m freestyle. But Caeleb would definitely keep a look at the reigning world champion, Kyle Chalmers’ stellar performances before the Olympics.
