Lindsey Vonn was recently spotted at the Mutua Madrid Open 2024, where some of the world’s best tennis players have been showcasing their skills. One of those is 19-year-old Coco Gauff. The former alpine skier was spotted cheering for Gauff on April 25. In return, Gauff showcased her appreciation for Vonn’s presence at the prestigious tennis event. Through a recent Instagram comment, she highlighted the bond shared between the two across different sports domains. 

Lindsey Vonn is a huge fan of tennis and a regular attendee at tennis tournaments. Frequently, she’s seen sharing her takes on the sport. Recently she shared on her Instagram her visit to the event stating, “Man, I love tennis! It was my first time attending the Madrid Open and it did not disappoint! I had so much fun cheering on my friends and getting to spend some quality time with them as well. It was a win all around.” After this, Coco Gauff expressed gratitude for Lindsey Vonn’s trip to Mutua Madrid Open and posted a loving comment, “❤️❤️❤️”. 

Earlier, Vonn posted a clip of Coco Gauff’s debut match against Arantxa Rus at the tournament with a supportive message, “Game. Set. Match”. The former professional alpine skier appeared at TIME magazine’s Women of the Year Awards on March 5, where she was photographed alongside Coco Gauff. Here also she expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be among such remarkable women at the event as she captioned an Instagram post, “Wow!! What a night celebrating the most badass women in the world!! Sports, science, activism, art and music, all represented and used as a conduit for women to make change.” 

Lindsey Vonn always praised Coco Gauff’s humility and poise in an interview clip shared by The Tennis Letter, expressing admiration for Gauff’s words that resonate with Americans. In her X, she tweeted for Coco, “Respect. This is such a great example of how it’s done.” The bond between Lindsey Vonn and Coco Gauff showcases mutual admiration and respect between them and for other tennis players also.

Vonn was seen cheering for Nadal who was featured in their first tournament game sharing on her Instagram story “Legend is ready”. Vonn is also a keen admirer of Roger, and when she got a chance to ski with him, she was on cloud 9. Vonn throwing her support for both Iga Swiatek and Danish Star Caroline Wozniacki for the recent match.

Also the bond she has with Iga Swiatek is heartening, they carry such a bond. “Still my #1 Iga Świątek,” she shared on her Instagram story a year back showing her admiration towards Iga Swiatek. In the spirit of the skiing Legend Lindsley Vonn’s utmost support for tennis shows her gracious spirit and also fosters unity within the sports community.
