The Paris Olympics 2024 is seven months from now and the sports community is getting all geared up for its commencement. From athletes to higher authorities, all are eagerly waiting to witness the magic of this global competition. However, France already took a vital step for the 2030 Winter Olympics. France has hosted the Winter Olympics 3 times and is ready to do it once again.

France presented themselves in front of the International Olympic Committee and stated their pitch. With them, a few other countries were also waiting to offer the same proposal. The authorities from France narrated the entire experience of representing themselves in front of the IOC for their proposal.

The proposal of France for the Winter Olympics 2030

On November 21, France presented their bid before the IOC to host the 2030 Winter Olympics. According to MNA International, in their presentation before the IOC, the French Olympic Committee highlighted their unanimous effort across the regions to make the event a success. Other rivals for the proposal, Sweden and Switzerland, also presented their claims on the same day. If France bags the honor this year, it will be their fourth Winter Olympics after 1924 (Chamonix), 1968 (Grenoble), and 1992 (Albertville).

The Executive Board of IOC will sit for a discussion from November 29 to December 1. The meeting that is scheduled to take place in Paris will take the call on which of the willing countries will enter the dialogue phase with the authorities. The FOC members expressed mixed emotions about their presentation before the IOC.

The FOC members “really prepared” for the presentation

After showcasing their presentation in front of the IOC, the French Olympic Committee members felt a rush of mixed emotions. The president of the committee David Lappartient expressed about the presentation, stating, “It went well, we presented it together, united, that’s the message we wanted to give”.

On the other hand, Laurent Wauquiez, who presides over the Auvergne-Rhone-Alps area, expressed, “There was stress, we really felt like we were taking an exam,?but we had really prepared. We played a good match”.?Wauquiez also revealed that some of the major 2024 Paris partners are already onboard with them. However, they did not reveal the names of those partners. The decision for the candidacy presented is supposed to be made by the IOC.
