This triple world champion has even garnered scrutiny for his words. Along similar lines, he once made a statement on a popular podcast with Jamaican runner Asafa Powell. In this talk show, he revealed some inside secrets about “how he improved his game”.

During the conversation, he unintentionally said something referring to Sha’Carri Richardson‘s rumored partner, Christian Coleman. It might have offended Powell. However, he immediately redeemed himself by clarifying his statement. The podcast came out two months ago, and Lyles has revealed some significant secrets in it.

Noah Lyles and his candid personality
Former Jamaican runner Powell on his podcast “Fast Lane Lifestyle”, sat down to interview Noah Lyles. In the podcast, these two of these track greats were discussing the nooks and crannies of the sport. During their conversation about the sport, Powell asks Lyles about becoming the fastest 200-meter runner for the United States. He questions, “How does that feel?”. To this, Noah replied that it felt like straight out of a movie, and he added that during the Worlds he was added to the relay camps, which helped him a lot. He further quotes, “I’ll tell you that relay camp for the USA definitely helped me. You know, I’m getting the baton from Cristian Coleman, one of the great starter. No offence to you [laughs].”

Noah further added that Coleman was really fast, and he pushed him to improve his speed. He was then given the anchor role at the Worlds this year to finish the race for Team USA in the relays. He did not disappoint at all and helped the American team clinch the 4×100 title in 37.38 seconds. In 2023, Lyles delivered some of the most remarkable performances since the era of Usain Bolt, showcasing his extraordinary talent.

2023 asserted Lyles’ dominance
Noah Lyles caught the attention of the public when he claimed that he was going to break the 19.19 world record of Usain Bolt at the Budapest World Championships. However, he tried his best but couldn’t break the record. But he, for sure, matched one of Bolt’s toughest records, which was winning the double individual titles. He reigned supreme at the Budapest track, grabbed both titles and made it to the elite list that has legends like Usain Bolt and Tyson Gay. Justin Gatlin, etc.
