Since he set the 9.58-second record in the 100m run back in 2009 and the 19.19-second record in the 200m Berlin Championship, no one has come close to surpassing those marks. However, Noah Lyles, the star athlete of today, is aiming to challenge and potentially break Usain Bolt’s world records at the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024.
Noah Lyles, the current world champion in both the 100m and 200m events, has always aimed to surpass past world records and etch his name in Olympic history. With a personal best of 19.31 seconds in the 200m international race, the American sprinter currently ranks as the third fastest athlete ever. Now, he aspires to cement his legacy above the greatest of all time in track and field.

Talking about making his name embedded in the history of the Olympics forever, Noah Lyles not only wants the gold for himself and his country but also for a deeper purpose. Transcribing the record that the GOAT track and field athlete, Usain Bolt had made once, Noah Lyles targets to leave that mark behind by clinching a new record. “It’s the dream goal. It’s the first world record that I kind of put up as ‘I want that to be mine. The 100, I’ve still been learning, but the 200 is my favorite event, and it’s the time I’ve put the most into. So, when I look at it, I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s the world record I want to be mine first.”, Noah Lyles told Fox News Digital.

Leaving his competitors disoriented, he admitted that adding four gold medals to his collection is not even his focus this time. “What’s wrong with greedy? I don’t think there’s anything wrong. But the way I see it is if you want to make it onto the Mount Rushmore of track and field, you gotta do things that people haven’t done. And if I feel that I can train myself to be able to do multiple of each, I want to try and accomplish that”, claimed the confident and very determined, 2024 Paris Olympics gold aspirant in track and field.
