A tweet by Track and field reports went, “Someone tried to land their helicopter in the middle of the warmup track and blew off all the tents. While the incident is getting a lot of heat for all the wrong reasons, it was, nevertheless, a serious matter.

The tweet mentions the injury of a person. Although their identity remains unknown, an injury brought on by a helicopter can presumably be very severe. Attached alongside the tweet was a small clip that captured the true extent of the chaos. Chairs, some of which were fallen to the ground; tents, whose cloth was torn in many areas; a goalpost, in the middle of it; and certain spectators sat scattered around the area after the damage.

While no further reports on this matter have come to light, the entire extent of the damage and as to why and how it happened, is still a mystery. But this did not derail the event, at any cost, and it certainly didn’t derail Sha’Carri Richardson from winning yet another race.
