Mondo Duplantis receives adulation from girlfriend 

 Inglander took to her Instagram handle, and cherry picked pictures of the couple decked to the nines. Duplantis proudly stood atop the podium and received this honorable award, making each and every follower and admirer of him proud. Among these, the one proudest of all was his girlfriend, Desire Inglander, and it shows in her post.

The carousel featured them with brimming spirits, owing to his recent win. The photos carried Duplantis absolutely doing justice to the white attire he was wearing and Inglander slayed in a sleek black dress. The caption effusively penned was beaming with pride as it read, “Another One”, as it is his third time nabbing the award. In some pictures, the couple were standing hand in hand. In some, they were gazing into each other’s eyes, and some showcased a bright smile.

In one of these pictures, Duplantis was also seen proudly holding his conferred award for the night. The athlete’s face showcased his happiness about winning this award for the third time from the World Athletics.

Mondo Duplantis’ stellar season 

This is not the first time the pole vault king has won the World Athlete of the Year Award. He has defended this title consecutively three times. He has always performed with commendable intensity every year and 2023 was no different. Mondo Duplantis started his 2023 with a bang at the Mondo Classic in Uppsala.

His win in this event of the height of 6.10m showcased not only his best season opener but also the highest season-opening performance of any pole vaulter in history.

Later in the year, he also broke his own world record when he cleared 6.23 meters at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene. Mondo Duplantis also nabbed the 1st position in the World Championships, in Budapest at 6.10m. His steely grit will take him to the zenith.
